Provincial Champions 2011

They did it again…4th time in a row to be exact!  The Tri-City Bandits won the Sr. B Provincial Championships last night at the Bill Copeland Arena, vs. the Ladner Pioneers with a 15-5 final score.

What started out as a tight race between two exceptional teams, the first period ended with the Bandits at 5 goals & the Pioneers with 4.  It was looking like this could have been anybody’s game.  In the second period, the Bandits took total control by amassing another 6 goals to take an 11-4 lead over the Pioneers.  In the third period, the Pioneers managed 1 more goal on the Bandits, but we answered back with another 4, sealing the deal on the 4th Provincial Championship win in a row.  Congratulations boys – a job well done.

Bandits Team Captain Darren McEwen accepted the Provincial Cup, Medals & Banner from Sr. B Commissioner Iris Parkyn on behalf of the team.  Also, the Landner Pioneers were presented their 2011 League Championship Cup – Congrats to them for a great season!
